Please read this disclaimer before using Bierfux (the “App”). By installing or using the App, you agree to it.

  1. Your data stays on your device: Everything you enter — beers, prices, notes, history — is stored in a database on your device and nowhere else. There is no account, no sign-up, and no tracking or analytics. We cannot see what you record, and none of it is uploaded to us or to anyone else.
  2. The one network request: To convert between currencies, the App downloads exchange rates from bierfux.at: the current ones at most once a day, and for an entry in the history one further request for the rates of that entry’s date, so an old price does not drift as the rate moves. Those requests carry no information about you and nothing about your entries beyond that date, but like any web request they do reveal your device’s IP address to the server. The App works offline; without rates, prices are simply compared in the currency you entered them in. The privacy policy sets this out in full.
  3. No warranties: The App is provided “as is” and “as available”. We make no promises about its functionality, accuracy, completeness, reliability, or fitness for any purpose. Exchange rates and the comparisons calculated from them may be wrong or out of date — treat them as a guide, not as a source of truth.
  4. Your responsibility: You use the App, and anything you take from it, at your own risk. We are not liable for any loss, damage, or harm arising from its use. Please also drink responsibly: the App compares prices, it does not encourage consumption.
  5. Compliance with laws: You are responsible for ensuring that your use of the App complies with the laws and regulations that apply to you.
  6. Changes: We may modify, update, or discontinue the App or any part of it at any time and without notice, and we are not liable for the consequences of doing so.
  7. Feedback: Any feedback, suggestion, or idea you send us may be used without any obligation to compensate you, credit you, or keep it confidential.

If you do not agree with any part of this disclaimer, please stop using the App.
